1K a Day Challenge – Week Forty One

It’s October 18th, 2015. Week forty one of writing 1,000 words per day of fiction. It’s time for another update!

Days 284 through 290 have been successes, with a minimum of 1,000 words per day written.

Stats for Days 284 to 290:

Day 284 – 1154 words
Day 285 – 1089 words
Day 286 – 1061 words
Day 287 – 1288 words
Day 288 – 1041 words
Day 289 – 1111 words
Day 290 – 1091 words

Total count for the year thus far is 364,934 words. Average daily word count is 1,258 words. WIP Savage Duty is at 26,153 words. Based on 120,000 words estimated for expected completion, it is 22% complete.

Haha, I got within 70 words of completing my year-long goal of 365k words this past week and DIDN’T write the rest. Go me.

Everything’s progressing pretty well up to this point. I’ve hit a good stride in Savage Duty and I’m running up on the end of Shape of Family, so I’m excited to be in the last quarter of the year and completing stories and working on new stories. If I can just keep it up, I’ll have three novels, two novellas, and a dozen or so short stories to show for this year of writing. That’s pretty badass any way you cut it.

Until next week, you’re a leaf on the wind, watch how you soar!
