It’s August 30th, 2015. Week thirty four of writing 1,000 words per day of fiction. It’s time for another update!
Days 235 through 241 have been successes, with a minimum of 1,000 words per day written.
Stats for Days 235 to 241:
Day 235 – 1306 words
Day 236 – 1053 words
Day 237 – 1185 words
Day 238 – 1085 words
Day 239 – 1001 words
Day 240 – 1201 words
Day 241 – 5315 words
Total count for the year thus far is 308,035 words. Average daily word count is 1,278 words, up for the first time in a couple months! Probably has something to do with a 5k words day. WIP Avalon Circle is at 99,272 words, and has reached the finish line!
That’s right, I had a moment this morning when I realized there was one entire scene I didn’t need, and several thousand words of unnecessary denouement, and I decided I’d try to write to the end of the story. And just shy of 100K words, I made it!
Man, where do I even go from here? I’ve written two novels and a myriad of short stories. At least one novella-length worth and I’m working on another at the moment (Shape of Family).
I believe it is time to go back to the time travel twins novella I was working on last year, and bring that to completion. Twins that can travel in time. Weird story, but has been a lot of fun.
After the time travel story? Back to the Shades of the Past series for the third book!
I’m cutting the update short this week cause I was writing all day and I deserve at least some kind of break. See you next week!
